I see so much wrong with the world, yet people are still able to find happiness; we have love and there is always laughter. The human spirit is built to endure and overcome, but the human body can only take so much.

I Occupy for future generations, so they do not have to inherit the monstrosities being perpetrated not only against our basic human rights, but the planet that sustains us. I want a future where our children and their children will still be able to breathe fresh air, eat real food, drink the water, play in the sunshine. I want a future where community is valued over commodities, where people are not herded off to 60 hour work weeks like livestock where many suffer, and only few profit.

Balance needs to be restored, and if we don't start, who will? If not now, when? Apathy is a direction with no destination. We need to wake up and reclaim our lives, reclaim our values. Truth is the answer, love is the way.

One of my favorite quotes to sum up how I feel about this movement is by Sitting Bull "As individual fingers we can easily be broken, but all together we make a mighty fist." I may not have all the answers to the many problems we are up against, but I want to be part of the solution.
