"Why am I here? I feel like this is where I need to be. Everyone has the ability to create something, anything. The more of themselves they put into it, the more it is able to be absorbed by those that feel it, hear it, and see it. It's a common denominator, whether it be; music, painting, poetry, photography, theatre, or voicing your very real concerns about the very real problems we face on this planet. Human expression is how we share at the roots. It comes from within and emerges into the conscience of whom ever reflects on it. It's the source, it's magic.
We can harness that, it's in every person.
I saw people expressing voices, frustrations, and ideas en masse, the same frustrations I have felt for years. The same discussions were going on right outside of my front door, so I stepped outside.
As humans we are in need of each other, we have lost that inherent, natural connection. The ability to be unafraid of what we face, to stand up against the social injustices, environmental pillaging, even down to the overall neglect of our basic human rights, sleep. I believe in humans, it is in the nature of our being to flourish in strong communities. It is entirely up to us to right the ship, we owe it to all species, not just humans, to be better.
Is it not natural to want to help something that is in dire need? I will never believe that it isn't.
That is why I am here.
